With 20 years of industry experience and a strong reputation in the mining and infrastructure sectors, my client is expanding. We're looking for a qualified Workshop Fitter / Machinist with solid manual machining experience to join the team in Lake Macquarie.

Your Role:
You'll be a key player in the workshop operations, focused on maintaining production timelines and quality standards. The role will also include occasional site shutdowns, typically just a few days per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual machining and general fitting

• Rebuilds of pumps, gearboxes, and mining equipment

• Occasional CNC machining

• Workshop-based fault finding and equipment prep

• Occasional site fitting and mechanical support (shutdowns)

About You:

• Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist

• Manual machining experience essential

• 1+ year post-trade experience preferred

• Team player with a good work ethic and attention to detail

• Current driver's licence (essential)

• Forklift license (advantageous)
