Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team in Athens, Greece.

The Assistant Accountant will assist the accounting team in providing accounting support, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, participating in bookkeeping, and preparing financial statements. To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for numbers and be able to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and procedures
• Manage a variety of financial documents, such as receipts, payments, and invoices, ensuring accurate accounting entries
• Participate in the registration of invoices and other relevant documents in the companys ERP system
• Generate invoices, update accounts receivable, and collaborate with clients to ensure timely payment receipt
• Prepare accounts payable and submit payments for approval
• Ensure prompt processing of bank payments
• Undertake any other necessary tasks as required

Requirements:

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting/auditing & related areas
• Familiarity with ERP Software will be highly valued
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• experience in processing payroll calculations is a plus
