BI Specialist

We are seeking a talented and experienced BI Specialist, to join our team in Athens, Greece. As a BI Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BI tools such as Oracle BI and Power BI, proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools like Oracle Data Integrator, and solid expertise in SQL/PLSQL.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, and translate them into technical specifications
• Design and develop data models, reports, dashboards, and analytics using BI tools such as Oracle BI and Power BI
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks using ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Write and optimize SQL queries and PLSQL scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of BI solutions and SQL/PLSQL queries to improve efficiency and scalability
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to automate data workflows and ensure timely delivery of insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve data discrepancies, and enhance data quality
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, and conduct training sessions to maximize the value of BI tools and solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a BI Specialist or similar role, with a strong background in BI development and implementation
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Oracle BI, Power BI or similar
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator or Informatica
• Solid expertise in SQL and PLSQL programming languages, with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle BI Certification, Power BI Certification) are a plus
