PHP Developer

As we continue to expand our technology team, we are seeking a skilled and passionate PHP Developer to join our headquarters in Athens and contribute to the design and development of robust, high-performing web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic web applications using PHP and modern frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony)
• Develop and maintain large organization sites running on PHP Based CMS along with custom development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX Designers, DevOps, QA Engineers) to deliver end-to-end technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and architectural discussions
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases
• Ensure code quality, performance, and responsiveness of applications
• Contribute to continuous improvement by exploring emerging technologies and development best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in PHP web development
• Solid experience with one or more PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel or Symfony)
• Strong understanding of MySQL or other relational databases
• Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and frameworks such as Vue.js or React is a plus
• Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g. Drupal. WordPress, Joomla) is a plus
• Version control experience (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

Desired:

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and other DevOps practices
• Familiarity with MVC architecture and software design patterns
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
