Oracle SQL/PLSQL Specialist – Consultant (On-Site)

We are currently looking for an experienced Oracle SQL/PLSQL Specialist with strong consulting and customer-facing skills, who will be permanently assigned on‑site at the client.

The role goes beyond pure development. We are seeking a professional who will act as the first line of contact at the customer, operating as a bridge between the client's business units and the internal delivery team, ensuring smooth communication, clear understanding of requirements, and timely, high-quality implementation

Role Overview

As an Oracle SQL/PLSQL Specialist – Consultant, you will:

• Operate on a daily basis at the customer premises, embedded in the client environment
• Act as the primary interface between the client's departments and Q&R delivery teams
• Actively listen, analyze and understand business and operational needs across different organizational units
• Translate business needs into clear Change Requests (CRs) and technical requirements
• Proceed with implementation of CRs, enhancements and fixes directly in the Oracle-based Information System, when feasible
• Perform debugging, issue analysis and first‑level troubleshooting within the database and application logic
• Escalate complex or systemic issues to the internal development team, ensuring proper handover, documentation and follow-up
• Validate solutions with the client and ensure that implemented changes meet business expectations

In essence, you will be the front line technical consultant at the client, while also remaining an integral part of Q&R's engineering organization.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology/ Engineering or science degree

Required skills:

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Very Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL concepts
• Strong understanding of relational database design and data structures.
• Proven experience in debugging and issue analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with testing and debugging
• Fulfilled military obligations (for men)

Desired skills:

• Experience in developing software with Oracle Forms / Oracle Reports
• Experience with Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework) environments.
• Exprerience in ERP systems, HRMS-Payroll systems
• Experience in developing with Jasper Reports
• Experience in Oracle Business Intelligence EE and Oracle BI Publisher will be considered an asset.
• Prior experience in on-site consulting or customer facing roles.
