Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4 years avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years aviation electronics schooling + 2 years experience
- A&P license preferred
- FCC certification preferred
- NCATT certification preferred
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Ability to repair and troubleshoot wiring and components
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Preferred proficiency in additional aircraft systems (hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, etc.)
What you’ll do
- Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics/electrical systems
- Install and functionally test electrical and avionics components per engineering specifications
- Repair or replace defective wiring and components using approved splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques
- Execute engineering changes, modifications, and functional checks
- Set up and operate required test equipment and evaluate system performance
- Document all work accurately and ensure readiness for inspection
- Maintain test equipment, comply with FOD, tool control, 5S, and all safety protocols
- Adapt to changing schedules and support additional duties as needed
- May participate in aircraft certification and final phase flight tests
