Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Engineer with strong technical expertise and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into high-quality drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on complex AutoCAD projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Drawings

  • Drawing Preparation: Clean, audit, and standardize AutoCAD files (removing Xrefs, hatching, and unnecessary blocks) to prepare them for TRIRIGA publishing.
  • Polylining: Execute precise polylining of gross areas, assignable areas, and sub-areas (rooms, workstations, closets) according to BOMA or IFMA standards.
  • Publishing & Synchronization: Use the TRIRIGA CAD Integrator/Publisher tool to link CAD drawing objects to TRIRIGA records and publish them to the environment.
  • Label Configuration: Configure and maintain CAD label styles to ensure space IDs, employee names, or occupancy status display correctly within the system.

Data Integrity & Maintenance

  • Spatial Validation: Ensure that square footage calculated in CAD matches the data reflected in the TRIRIGA Space Manager.
  • As-Built Management: Incorporate "As-Built" drawings from construction or renovation projects into the master CAD library.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve synchronization errors between the CAD plugin and the TRIRIGA server, such as "unattached" records or broken links.

Space Management Support

  • Occupancy Mapping: Assist the Space Planning team by updating drawing layers to reflect personnel moves, adds, and changes (MAC).
  • Standardization: Maintain a consistent CAD layer naming convention (Standard Operating Procedures) across all regional or global portfolios.
  • Reporting: Generate spatial reports directly from CAD data to assist leadership in real estate optimization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with AutoCAD and CAD integrator for TRIRIGA/MREF
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, layers, blocks, and annotations.
  • TRIRIGA CAD Integrator/Publisher Plugin: Direct experience using the plugin to "attach" objects (rooms, people, assets) to the TRIRIGA database.
  • Standardization: Ability to enforce and follow strict CAD standards (e.g., layer naming conventions like A-AREA-IDEN
  • BOMA/IFMA/OSCRE: Knowledge of global standards for measuring floor area (e.g., knowing the difference between "Rentable," "Usable," and "Gross" area).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to Business Analyst or coordination activities such as requirements discussions and documentation.
  • Experience working on short-term or project-based engagements.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and quality standards.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
