ABOUT THE ROLE

As a licenced conveyancer or solicitor specialising in residential conveyancing and/or commercial property transactions, you will be expected to advise mainly lender clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process, and also including bridging loans, buy-to-let, commercial and development, legal issues, finances and contracts and as more particularly described below. Our Lender Finance Team is a very busy, fast paced practice and the successful candidate would be joining a friendly & supportive team who all pitch in together.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling files both freehold and leasehold from initial instruction through to completion having ensured that all enquiries have been dealt with, title issues have been accurately resolved, all searches carried out and checked and mortgage conditions satisfied;
  • Title checking;
  • Preparation of contracts and supporting documents;
  • Checking official copy documents;
  • Liaising with clients, clients’ agents, borrowers, asset managers, buyers’ solicitors, internal departments and any other as necessary;
  • Dealing with post completion issues and ensuring post-completion is concluded accurately;
  • Using case management systems on a day-to-day basis; and
  • Handle client billing and ensure all billing is accurate and timely.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with leasehold properties and corporate clients is necessary
  • Experience in commercial conveyancing is a plus
  • Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive with commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethos
  • The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 PQE however we are willing to accept applications for NQ Solicitors / Conveyancers so long as they have had a seat in Residential Conveyancing
