About the job Bookings & Administration Team Leader

Our client, leading transport company, based in Essex who specialise in providing logistics services and assisting the carriage of both import and export cargo are looking for Booking & Administrator Team Leaders to join their friendly team. This is a Maternity cover (12months) although for the right candidate may turn into a permanent position.

Hours and Days of work are Monday to Friday Hours 08.30 17.30

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and ensure efficient running of the team.
  • Monitor mailbox and make sure everything is replied to / actioned in a timely manner.
  • Participate in all day to day bookings / administration activities including, actioning emails, speaking to customers, distributing emails to correct people.
  • Assist with effective liaison, support and assistance between bookings/administration department and customers / rest of company.
  • Assist with preparation and agreement of individual action plans and targets for team members.
  • Assist in checking rate confirmations, rating jobs and sending invoices.
  • Participate in basic administration jobs such as answering telephone calls, data input & arranging meetings.
  • Liaise with support teams to solve any IT or system issues that affect your team.

MUST HAVE:

  • Strong IT skills - knowledge in Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Experience in an office environment.
  • Be willing to learn new software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

  • Experience with TOPS
  • Experience in Haulage / shipping industry.
  • Experience being a team leader.
