• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (i.e. IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering)
• At least 12 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of cloud environments with Amazon Web Services: EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, SQS, ElasticCache, CloudFront, ElasticIP, Route53, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDb. You must know how to configure and optimize these services and deploy/manage them in CI/CD pipelines.
• A clear understanding of computing principles such as networking, and service operations.
• The ability to code is essential. You are able to script in Bash/Zsh, Python, Ruby, Powershell and Java. PowerShell a plus.
• You must be at home with Linux and Windows operating systems including package management, scheduling, security, configuration, monitoring.
• You are able to use tools such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef/Ansible, Dynatrace, Nagios, Maven/Ant, Gradle. (Bamboo is a plus)
• Deep understanding of load balancing, containerization, NAT services, proxy services.
• You have experience with monitoring tools such as OpenView, Dynastrace, NewRelic or Datadog
• Familiarity with, SaltStack, Docker/BuildKit/BuildAh is a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Experience in software and application development that requires analysis and design work.
• Review of test plans and test cases for SIT
• Knowledge/Experience in Gitlab/Github/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge/Experience in Continuous Integration and Automated Testing
• Knowledge/Experience in Agile Development and Management tools, e.g. Jira, Confluence, Butbucket, Bamboo, SonarQubue, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, Selenium, etc.
• Must know CloduFromation and Terraform
• Must understand Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateways (Kong/Apigee), and principles of service publication and traffic routing and metering.
• Must understand security principles of firewalls and attack prevention techniques.
