Contracts Manager

 Job Description:

As a Contracts Manager you will provides legal advices on a broad range of commercial issues of relevance to enterprise businesses which includes the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare, negotiate and advise on all aspects of enterprise customer / supplier / partnership contracts as well as the Company’s standard terms.
  • Point of contact for customers on contractual matters. Ensure timely review and approval / reconciliation of variations.
  • On all standard and non-standard contracts, provide redlined recommendations and negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached.
  • Maintain contractual records and ensure documentation is systematically maintained with adequate processes and policies in place, and that organizational memory is retained, within the enterprise corporate business group.
  • Develop and implement procedures for contract management in compliance with the Company’s policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
  • Work with finance and risk management teams to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements (such as pricing, discounting policies, insurance, tax implications…etc.) and provide pragmatic, robust legal / contract solutions consistent with the Company's corporate policies. May include ‘financial engineering’ and understanding / evaluating economic impact of terms and term options.
  • Engage in Sales Enablement training globally
  • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.
  • Handle on-going contract issues and change management. Recommend changes and best practices.
  • Mobile and Business Product, Partnership and Advisory Support
    • Legal support to Mobile and Business Product
    • Create and review contract templates and review various application forms for operation use
    • Handle disputes and fraud cases
    • Provide training to sales team regarding contract and policy

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law from reputable university
  • 3 to 5 years' PQE gained as in-house lawyer or with a reputable commercial law firm, experience in ICT/ telco industry isa highly beneficial
  • Experience in international commercial contracting matters is ideal
  • Strong legal / contract analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law
  • Experience in commercial contract negotiation and strategy
  • Keen interest in the business and its operations and processes
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines
  • Able to work well both independently as a legal professional and custodian of the company’s policies and as well as working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills are required
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proactive self-starter, team player with strong interpersonal skills
