Job Description:
- Group Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Bursa Malaysia Compliance: Manage all reporting obligations to Bursa Malaysia, ensuring timely submission of quarterly and annual reports, as well as compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide insights on the groups financial performance, identifying trends and variances for management reporting.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities, collaborating with subsidiary finance teams to consolidate budgets and forecasts.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and available for review.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard group assets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management, finance teams, and other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive financial performance across the group.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a group accounting or consolidation role within a public listed company, preferably in the property development sector.
- Consolidation Expertise: Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and experience in managing group financial reporting.
- Bursa Reporting Knowledge: Familiarity with Bursa Malaysias reporting requirements and regulatory framework.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
