Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst – Finance to support a large-scale finance transformation program within a complex enterprise environment in Dubai. The role supports the Finance Business Process Owner (BPO) and the SAP delivery team in ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of SAP S/4HANA finance solutions. The consultant will act as the key interface between finance stakeholders, business users, and the SAP project team, translating business requirements into SAP functional specifications and ensuring finance processes are accurately reflected in the system configuration. This role requires a strong combination of finance process understanding, SAP S/4HANA functional knowledge, and consulting-level stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis
Gather and validate business requirements from finance stakeholders
Document end-to-end finance processes including:
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o General Ledger
o Controlling processes
Translate finance business requirements into functional SAP specifications
Identify process improvement opportunities aligned with SAP best practices
SAP S/4HANA Implementation Support
Support SAP S/4HANA finance implementation activities across the project lifecycle
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and developers to ensure system configuration aligns with business needs
Support fit-to-standard workshops and business blueprint documentation
Assist with functional design, configuration validation, and solution design reviews
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as the key liaison between finance teams and the SAP implementation team
Facilitate workshops with finance stakeholders to capture requirements and validate solutions
Ensure clear communication of requirements, risks, and open items across project stakeholders
Testing and Quality Assurance
Support preparation and execution of:
o System Integration Testing (SIT)
o User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Validate system configurations against documented finance processes
Track issues, risks, and resolution progress related to finance deliverables
Data Migration and Go-Live Support
Assist in validating finance data migration and reconciliation activities
Support finance teams during go-live preparation and cutover activities
Ensure end-user readiness through documentation and training support
Required Experience
7 to 10 years of experience in SAP consulting or SAP business analysis roles
Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs
Strong understanding of finance processes including:
o Accounts Receivable
o Accounts Payable
o General Ledger
o Financial reporting processes
Experience working with SAP FI and Controlling modules
Exposure to SAP COPA or financial reporting frameworks
SAP Functional Knowledge
Candidates should demonstrate experience with several of the following:
SAP S/4HANA Finance modules
FI-AR and FI-AP process integration
Cross-module SAP integration (SD / MM / Finance)
SAP Fit-to-Standard methodology
Functional specifications and system configuration validation
SAP Fiori applications and finance reporting tools
Third-party system integration with SAP finance modules
Consulting and Delivery Experience
Experience working in SAP implementation programs within consulting or enterprise environments
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to translate complex business processes into clear SAP requirements
Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Retail or Luxury Retail / Consumer Goods / FMCG
Experience in large transformation programs within the Middle East is highly desirable.
