Head of Accounting / Accounting Manager

Were seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee a wide range of client accounting operations. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants and assistants.

• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional growth.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

• Allocate resources effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

Accounting Operations & Oversight

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Manage general ledger operations, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect financial data integrity.

• Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy.

• Oversee payroll processing and compliance for clients where applicable.

Client Management & Advisory

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored solutions.

• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients.

• Collaborate with other departments (tax, audit, advisory) to provide seamless service.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.

• Ensure all practices comply with professional ethics and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.

• Proven leadership experience within accounting or financial services.

• Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
