R77 Elite Talent is supporting a reputable organisation in Malta to appoint an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) within a Corporate Services Provider (CSP) environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Floriana, Malta, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the organisations AML compliance framework.

The role focuses on monitoring financial activity, ensuring full compliance with AML/CFT regulations, and acting as a key point of contact for regulators. The successful candidate will also provide strategic input on risk management and support the Board in strengthening the companys governance and compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess financial transactions to detect suspicious activity relating to money laundering or terrorism financing.

• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulatory requirements, including regular reviews of financial statements and client documentation.

• Prepare and submit financial and compliance reports as required.

• Analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and prepare detailed customer risk assessments.

• Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and strengthen AML controls.

• Assist the Board with updates to the Business Risk Assessment and regulatory filings, including the Annual Risk Evaluation Questionnaire.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar AML-focused role, ideally in a senior position (CSP sector experience is considered an asset).

• Proven AML regulatory expertise (previous PQ approval considered a strong advantage).

• Strong analytical ability with confidence in interpreting complex financial data.

• Background in Finance, with solid knowledge of financial statements and reporting.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (AML-related qualifications a plus).
