Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will spend a significant portion of their time on the shop floor, working closely with production teams to:

  • Analyze and improve existing processes related to the fabrication of permanent magnets and magnet assemblies, focusing on quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to ensure smooth operations.

  • Identify, design, and implement new fabrication and assembly processes to enhance performance.

  • Develop and document procedures and work instructions in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

  • Perform other engineering tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, with hands-on experience in assembly and basic machining processes, including CNC grinding, surface grinding, OD grinding, and wire EDM.

  • Experience working with small, high-precision parts with tolerances as tight as +/-0.0005.

  • Familiarity with rare earth permanent magnets or materials with similar properties (e.g., ceramics and ferrites) is highly desirable.

  • Experience with spray coating processes is a plus.

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering challenges clearly to diverse teams (customers, management, shop operators).

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
