Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Business Value Strategist to join our team. You will work closely with clients to understand their existing strategies, business problems, and specialized needs to drive their digital transformation efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for discovering customer business drivers, defining solutions to address those drivers, and executing strategies to ensure successful implementation and integration of our products and services.
The ideal candidate is a professional communicator who specializes in working with customer leaders on value-related activities. We are looking for someone who can dig into a specific problem like a detective and get to the bottom of its reality. They are responsible for each project and take the lead to ensure that the client and the project are successful. You will need to have a good understanding of technology and its potential, but you will not generally be asked to develop the application yourself.
However, we do expect you to be able to engage in highly technical discussions with the development team regarding potential solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Communicate with executive-level stakeholders, focusing on understanding business topics and priorities to be a trusted advisor who solves customer problems
- Engage in and facilitate discovery and solution design activities, including workshops with executive-level or project-level stakeholders to understand their business and digital transformation goals
- Identify key use cases and lead user progress, problem presentations, and value identification with customers in the field
- Create an ongoing strategy development process with customers to iterate on the various ways in which the business problems presented can be solved
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement customized business strategies that meet customer needs
- Work with internal teams such as product management, engineering, and marketing to align deployment plans to meet customer requirements
- Product Development:
- Drive the development of a minimum viable product (MVP), while incorporating the product vision and customer needs into the development team's work
- Drive the transition from the MVP phase to an enhanced solution
- Guide development teams to focus on customer priorities and deliver business value
- Build and derive value metrics for projects with a focus on value. Keep this at the center of the design, development and deployment process
- Present to executive-level stakeholders and work with customers to deploy projects at scale with end-users.
Required Qualifications:
- Project Leadership and Management: Experience leading technical project teams and delivering business value using agile methodologies.
- Customer Relations: extensive experience leading customer engagement, building and managing executive-level customer relationships, and managing other stakeholders
- Problem Finding: experience translating high-level specifications and open-ended problems into pinpoint qualitative and quantitative problem presentations. Strong understanding of what the key issues are that need to be resolved
- Business case: experience in creating and presenting a business case for a specific project
- Knowledge and awareness of different digital technologies, their capabilities, and the areas where they bring value. In particular, cloud, data, APIs, enterprise AI, automation, microservices, mobility (mobile apps)
- Basic data analysis skills: understanding of data workflows and experience extracting insights from data through dashboards, low-code analysis, etc.

- Japanese: Native (for foreign nationals, fluent at N1 level)
- English: Business level
