SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
As we are establishing a strong organization to expand our business in SEA, we require a Regional Senior Commercial Manager to proactively participate in this activity.

This position is responsible for:

1) Supervising and making appropriate decisions and direction regarding all the
Back Office Functions; FP&A, HRGA, Legal, and IT.

2) The strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the
finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and governance as well as negotiations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Back-Office Team Management.
  • Supervising and making appropriate decisions and direction regarding all the Back
    Office Functions; FP&A, HRGA, Legal, and IT.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the subordinates, ensuring that they are
    aligned with the Company's goals and values.
  • FP&A Management & Operations
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, including sales revenue, returns,
    inventory, COGS, expenses, P&L, and other key financial metrics.
  • Manage business performance tasks, including progress management, data
    analysis, proposals, reporting on sales revenue, returns, inventory, COGS,
    expenses, P&L, and other key metrics.
  • Perform monthly tracking and analysis of the in-house Company's budget and
    actual results (analyzing sales by product, customer, and geography).
  • Optimize the use of financial and business information, develop and prepare local
    management reports to support the business in decision making.
  • Lead the monthly closing process for the company in collaboration with the
    accounting team, providing support for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Generate monthly business review package and manage the company's HQ
    finance expectations through deliverables.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly P&L, profit contributions and various reports,
    identifying deviations from the budget.
  • Collaborate with relevant business managers to discuss and monitor action plans
    aimed at addressing negative deviations.
  • Serve as the local planning coordinator, responsible for managing the local
    internal planning calendar, including budgets, forecasts, and the mid-term
    financial plan.
  • Support the business during the planning process by providing tool assistance,
    reviewing, and questioning planning results.
  • Maintain frequent communication with business functions to drive strategy
    forward and achieve planned targets.
  • Conduct periodic forecasting and perform concrete gap analysis against actual
    results to meet the finalized bottom line.
  • Manage the inventory and order figures from a financial perspective based on
    business performance.
  • Draw up the P&L of both new store opening and store closure by collaborating
    with stakeholders.
  • Cope with internal audit tasks.
  • Provide support for the in-house company's transactions with client.
  • Perform risk management and internal/external and accounting audits as a legal
    entity.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in FP&A and 3 years of experience in team
    management.
  • Experience in managing back-office functions is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to take a hands-on
    approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
    effectively with employees at all.
  • levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to adapt to environmental changes and varying needs with flexibility.
  • Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Japanese at a business level is a plus.
  • Experience working in a Japanese company is a plus.
  • Experience in retail industries, particularly in fashion (apparel/footwear) or
    cosmetics, is preferred.
