The Role
Based in Canberra, this is a national BDM role with strong focus on federal government and defence data centre clients. You'll identify new business opportunities, build long-term relationships, and lead the full sales cycle leveraging your understanding of power systems, environmental controls, and digital infrastructure to win major accounts.

The role blends direct sales with channel development, and you'll work closely with technical, product, and national sales teams across Australia. Due to project security protocols, Australian citizenship is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new opportunities across colocation providers, enterprise customers, and public sector clients
  • Own the full sales cyclefrom prospecting and needs analysis to solution presentation and commercial close
  • Deliver tailored data centre solutions encompassing racks, cabling, power distribution, cooling, and remote management systems
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders: facility managers, engineers, consultants, and procurement teams
  • Execute strategic account and opportunity plans aligned with national growth targets
  • Grow and manage Tier-2 partners and distributors to expand reach and maximise value delivery
  • Engage with internal product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met from bid to deployment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging data centre technologies
    Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and uphold the companys reputation in mission-critical environments

  • Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in data centre solution sales (direct and/or channel)
    • Strong grasp of power, cooling, rack, and cabling systems within enterprise environments
    • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a strategic B2B context
    • Ability to understand and engage with technical stakeholders
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong negotiation and planning skills
    • Australian citizenship highly desirable due to client base
