About the Role

Reclatam is hiring an experienced Immigration Translator to support a U.S.-based Immigration Law Firm located in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of U.S. immigration processes and legal terminology who can provide accurate written translations and interpretation support.

You will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure immigration documents and client communications are translated with precision, confidentiality, and cultural accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate immigration-related legal documents from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, including:

  • USCIS forms and supporting documentation

  • Client affidavits and declarations

  • Requests for Evidence (RFEs)

  • Notices, letters, and legal correspondence


  • Provide oral interpretation support during client intakes, consultations, or meetings when required
  • Ensure translations are legally accurate and consistent with U.S. immigration terminology

  • Proofread and quality-check translated materials

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and privacy standards

  • Meet deadlines while managing multiple translation requests

Required Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

  • Previous experience translating immigration law documents

  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration processes (family-based petitions, asylum, humanitarian relief, work visas, adjustment of status, consular processing, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely

  • Professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a U.S. immigration law firm

  • Familiarity with USCIS systems and case management platforms

  • Translation or interpretation certification (a plus, not required)

  • Experience working remotely with U.S. legal teams
