We are currently hiring an experienced Litigation Paralegal on behalf of a growing U.S.-based personal injury law firm. This role will support the firms litigation and pre-litigation operations and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Litigation Paralegal will manage personal injury matters from pre-litigation through active litigation. This includes handling client communication, case management, legal documentation, court filings, and trial preparation support.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management
Manage a personal injury caseload from initial intake through resolution
Handle a mixed caseload of litigation and pre-litigation matters
Support complex cases including trucking accidents, wrongful death, sexual assault, and child abuse claims
Track case deadlines, court orders, and litigation requirements using the firms case management system (MyCase)
Litigation Support
Prepare and organize discovery documents (interrogatories, requests for admission, requests for production)
Draft and manage responses to RFAs and RFPs
Maintain accurate and organized litigation files
Assist with trial preparation, including deadline tracking and trial documentation
Handle electronic court filings and submission of legal documents
Client Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and updates
Manage client scheduling and ongoing communication
Maintain professional correspondence through the firms case management system
Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain organized task lists and prioritize daily responsibilities
Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting
Use AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, document formatting, and quality control
Coordinate scheduling with courts and opposing counsel
Track all court filing deadlines and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
Licensed attorney in home country (Latin America preferred)
Minimum 2–6 years of experience working with U.S.-based law firms as a paralegal or legal professional
Strong knowledge of U.S. litigation processes and personal injury law
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience using case management software (MyCase or similar platforms)
Experience handling electronic court filings
Familiarity with AI tools for document preparation and workflow efficiency
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Personal injury litigation experience in Florida
Experience handling sexual assault or child abuse cases
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with wrongful death and trucking accident cases
Knowledge of Florida civil procedure rules (or ability to quickly learn state-specific requirements)
Prior remote work experience
Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures
