RecLatam is hiring on behalf of a U.S.-based law firm focused on Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, and Probate law. The firm is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Legal Assistant to support daily operations in a fully remote role.

Role Description

This is a fully remote position for someone comfortable working during Central Time business hours. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable communicating with clients, and able to manage administrative and legal support tasks efficiently.

This role is a great fit for someone with prior legal assistant or law office experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls and communicating with clients professionally
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Assisting with client intake and follow-ups
  • Preparing, organizing, and managing legal documents and PDFs
  • Assisting attorneys with preparation of legal documents and correspondence
  • Maintaining and organizing case files and client records
  • Supporting document filing and case-related administrative tasks
  • Coordinating with attorneys and clients regarding case updates
  • Supporting attorneys with administrative and legal tasks
  • Coordinating emails and maintaining organized case files
  • Handling sensitive client information with confidentiality
  • Assisting with document preparation and general legal support tasks

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
  • Professional and friendly client communication skills
  • Reliability and accountability in a remote work environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience in a law office is preferred
  • Experience with intake, scheduling, document preparation, client communication, or case management is a plus
  • Experience supporting attorneys with legal documentation and case management is a plus

Software and Tech Skills

Applicants should be comfortable using or willing to learn:

  • Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF tools
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
  • Online scheduling tools

Candidates do not need to be technical experts but should feel comfortable learning and using common office software.
