Job Description:
Position Summary:
As a Cat Scan Tech, you will perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reporting to the Director of Imaging/Radiology, you will review patient history and physician's orders, educate patients about procedures, prepare and administer contrast media and medications, and monitor patient conditions continually.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
- Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
- Effectively utilize the Electronic Health Record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (External):
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- 2RRT registered in Radiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required through American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
Required Skills:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
