Job Title: Process Engineering Technician I (or II, or III)

Salary: $61,000 to $121,000 depending on level of technical proficiency (Tech 1, Tech 2, or Tech 3).

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Process Engineer Technician I

The essential functions of the position include:

  • Prioritize the safety and health of employees above all duties.
  • Monitor cycle times and adjust as needed, ensuring process accuracy during production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Modify processes as required for product orders.
  • Correct errors and collaborate with operators to enhance process clarity and effectiveness.
  • Conduct mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, and equipment preparation for maintenance.
  • Provide technical support to shift for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Ensure equipment and processes meet standard production outputs.
  • Monitor operations process, work, and material flow to meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
  • Act as backup for running presses and shift supervisor duties.
  • Conduct test and trial runs as necessary.
  • Assist in mold changes and repairs to optimize the molding process.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Train Production Supervisors and other Process Technicians.
  • Perform all duties with the highest level of quality and safety.

Process Engineer Technician II

Process Engineer Technician II must meet all the requirements for Process Engineer Technician I and also:

  • Provide repair and replacement of electrical and/or pneumatic instrumentation and control systems.
  • Maintain and improve existing manufacturing practices for finished goods.
  • Create and manipulate databases and charts.
  • Understand and utilize Pareto charts.
  • Develop projects to improve PPKs throughout the plant.
  • Perform quality equipment calibration.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Thermoforming and Extrusion processes.
  • Create, develop, and maintain recipes for Thermoforming and Extrusion.
  • Detect deficiencies and implement process-countermeasures to solve problems.
  • Utilize Infinity database, Agile, Vorne, and OEE studio proficiently.

Process Engineer Technician III

  • Lead an SPS team.
  • Develop blue belt projects.
  • Proficient with 3D design software (AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, INVENTOR).
  • Handle projects such as equipment upgrades and contractor management.
  • Create and run CAA capital projects.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement projects on the production floor.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Implement visual controls and standard work in the department.
  • Collaborate with the plant and management to improve safety initiatives.
