We are Western Australia's largest privately-owned fruit packer and wholesaler of quality fruit and one of the largest private growers in Australia. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fruit Grower to manage and oversee orchard operations. The role requires a high level of technical knowledge in horticulture and the ability to ensure efficient, productive, and sustainable fruit production.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating fruit production activities, including site preparation, planting, pruning, thinning, and harvesting
  • Monitoring crop health and implementing pest, weed, and disease control strategies in accordance with industry best practices
  • Managing irrigation systems, soil nutrition, and fertilisation programs to maximise crop yield and quality
  • Operating and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Supervising, training, and coordinating farm workers and seasonal labour
  • Maintaining detailed records of crop production, chemical usage, and operational activities
  • Ensuring compliance with biosecurity, workplace health and safety (WHS), and environmental regulations
  • Implementing sustainable and efficient farming practices aligned with industry standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience in fruit growing, orchard management, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of horticultural production, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems
  • Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day farm operations
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Physical capability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field (AQF Certificate III or higher preferred)
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak harvest periods
  • Ability to meet visa and character requirements under Australian immigration laws

Employment Conditions

  • Full-time position with a minimum of 38 hours per week
