An established transport business based in Smeaton Grange, NSW is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Diesel Mechanic with solid experience working on heavy road vehicles and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.

🔧 THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining heavy road vehicles
Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
Preventative maintenance and inspections
Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting
Component repairs and replacement
Keeping vehicles safe, reliable and operational
Working to required safety and maintenance standards
Working as part of an experienced team

👷 ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic experience
• Experience working on trucks or heavy road vehicles
• Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Strong preventative maintenance knowledge
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Good safety awareness
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with heavy commercial vehicles, trucks or transport fleets will be highly regarded.
