About the Role

We are supporting a next-generation renewable energy platform in Italy backed by a major European private equity investor (400M+ committed capital). The company is scaling rapidly with a national pipeline of utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects and several large assets already under construction.

As Senior Project Manager Strategic Partnerships, you will play a leading role in managing permitting, early-stage development, and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with municipalities, local authorities, and co-developers to help bring impactful clean energy projects to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead permitting and authorization processes for PV and BESS projects in Italy

  • Manage relationships with grid operators, public institutions, and permitting bodies

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with municipalities, landowners, and regional authorities

  • Oversee early-stage project setup including site identification and feasibility coordination

  • Ensure documentation flow and compliance with development regulations

  • Manage third-party co-developers and technical partners to ensure alignment and accountability

  • Support legal and technical teams in addressing regulatory or permitting bottlenecks

  • Work closely with the COO and internal stakeholders to align projects with strategic goals

Your Profile

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, ideally in the Italian PV sector

  • Deep expertise in permitting and authorization processes

  • Proven ability to manage complex external relationships (municipalities, partners, co-developers)

  • Familiar with Italian FER regulations and regional permitting frameworks

  • Engineering background (electrical, civil, environmental, or mechanical) is a plus

  • Proficient with tools like AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Fluent in Italian and English

  • Based in Rome and available for full-time, in-office work with regular travel
