Role Overview
Our client is looking for a driven, persuasive Sales Development Representative with experience in law enforcement or ALPR-related solutions (e.g., ex-Motorola Solutions, Flock Safety, Vigilant, Rekor) to help expand our client's footprint across the U.S.
This hybrid role is primarily remote but involves frequent travel to meet with police departments, sheriffs' offices, transportation agencies, and public safety leaders, as well as participation in 3-4 major U.S. exhibitions annually.
Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and engage law enforcement and municipal leads for Ekins ALPR, mobile speed, and parking enforcement solutions.
Build relationships with decision-makers (chiefs, sheriffs, city officials, procurement officers) and influence RFPs and tech evaluations.
Fly onsite to demo our tech and consult on deployment strategies with agencies.
Work closely with leadership to build strategic outreach plans per state/region.
Attend 3-4 major exhibitions annually (e.g., IACP, NOBLE, police tech expos), helping represent Ekin to agencies and buyers.
Provide market feedback to help evolve product and go-to-market strategies.
Ideal Background
Prior experience selling to or working within law enforcement (former officer or civilian tech liaison roles preferred).
Familiarity with ALPR, public safety cameras, body cams, speed enforcement, or vehicle data analytics.
Experience at companies like Flock Safety, Motorola Solutions, Vigilant, Axon, Rekor, or similar.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
Self-driven, structured, and comfortable working remotely and independently.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (2-3 times/month on average).
