Salary: $150,000 - $185,000

Recruiting Heroes is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Contracts to oversee our client's procurement processes and ensure
compliance with global trade regulations. This role will be responsible for leading and managing our procurement team, developing procurement strategies, and establishing strong relationships with our suppliers and vendors.

The Director of Contracts will also be responsible for ensuring that our global trade practices are in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, and will work closely with our legal and compliance teams to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to these regulations.

What you get to do:
Act as Government Property Lead.
Review, draft, and negotiate as necessary terms and conditions of non-disclosure and teaming agreements, contracts, subcontracts, and other subcontract related documentation.
Work with Proposal and Pricing Team to research and identify subcontractor sources based on the company's needs.
Prepare and maintain subcontract files in accordance with approved purchasing system requirements.
Prepare bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and
requirements.
Maintain contact with senior project management regarding subcontractor performance.
Provide direct subcontract support, review of contractual documents to ensure protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies.
Oversee contract performance by monitoring budget, compliance documents, schedules, and deliverables and recommend actions to ensure mutually satisfactory performance.
Evaluate contract compliance and advise other team members on contractual rights and obligations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer
specifications.
Analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, as well as negotiate vendor pricing.
Negotiate contract terms and participate in the determination of acceptable bids Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives
Manage and lead the procurement team, including setting goals and priorities, providing guidance and training, and ensuring that team members have the resources they need to succeed

What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree required with a degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field desired; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in with government contracts, procurement, and trade
compliance, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, including export controls, sanctions, and anti-corruption laws
Knowledge in U.S. Government (FAR/DFARs) Contracting.
Ability to effectively work with the management of other organizations as well as representatives of Government agencies.
Prior experience with various contract types such as IDIQs, Time & Material, Cost types, Firm Fixed Price, etc.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong
relationships with suppliers and vendors
Minimum 2 years of experience with contract negotiations.
Ability to work well under pressure and short deadlines.
Ability to work with little oversight and follow established policies and procedures including acquisition laws and regulations

implement procurement strategies that align with overall company goals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
Experience with ERP and procurement software systems is a plus
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
