Role: Investigator Field Operative
On-Site: Charleston, South Carolina (travel is required)
Salary: $25 - $40 an hour
The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be team-oriented. The candidate must be able to work independently and have strong time management skills.
***THIS IS A FIELD INVESTIGATOR POSITION. TRAVEL IS REQUIRED***
The candidate must own a well-maintained vehicle, a laptop, and a cell phone, and have reliable internet service.
Applicants must have an extremely flexible work schedule, as cases often require odd hours, including early mornings, weekdays, weekends, evening hours, and occasional holidays. The ideal candidate will have some prior law enforcement training or former military. Prior experience with conducting covert mobile and stationary field surveillance is a plus.TMI will consider candidates without military or law enforcement experience if they possess other unique skills. The candidate should be experienced in obtaining covert videos and photos and be able to write detailed investigative reports. A clean criminal record is required as a private investigator's license and/or registration is necessary for some states.
Requirements:
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a Private Investigator in your home state and surrounding states.
- Flexibility to work varied/irregular hours and days including weekends and possible holidays.
- Ability to travel throughout the state and/or region
- Valid state-issued driver's license issued by the state of residency.
- Reliable surveillance vehicle.
- Laptop.
- Ability and willingness to travel within a multi-state coverage area (occasionally needed).
- Ability to write clear, informative reports with attention to spelling and grammar.
- Ability to observe and accurately record activity within your surroundings.
- Ability to conduct interviews of witnesses
- Ability to write concise and accurate reports with strong attention to sequential detail.
- Possess a dedicated work ethic, high integrity and be very dependable.
Responsibilities:
- Time management.
- Conduct surveillance with the expectation to obtain video documentation of the subjects activities.
- Obtain professional quality, steady video, and clear photographic documentation.
- Write thorough and detailed sequential reports.
- Upload video, photographic, and audio evidence.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
- Meet strict deadlines to present your final report.
- Working knowledge of email and basic computer skills.
- Able to clearly communicate in a direct or pretext situation.
