Role: Manufacturing Engineer

On-Site:  Monroe, North Carolina

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Recruiting Heroes is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to serve our client in Monroe, North Carolina. 

Summary Job Description:

· Eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and apply innovative systems to improve company workflows.

· Set criteria for quality and speed, then consistently measure manufacturing behaviors and evaluate success.

· Identify delays in production and sources of waste, then use technology and engineering principles to refine the system.

· Adjust production lines and integrate new technology to improve the supply and production chain.

· Working with design engineering, train factory staff on how to properly incorporate new products, technology and methods into current production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Evaluate processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality and cost control.

· Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.

· Ensure that the companys manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.

· Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.

· Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.

· Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational.

Job Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:

· Understanding of transformer manufacturing including coil winding, mechanical and electrical assembly, vacuum pumping systems and electrical testing a plus

· Leadership skills

· Teamwork skills

· Good information technology skills

· Commercial awareness

· Excellent communication skills

· Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation and repair

· Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Education and Training Requirements:

· Minimum bachelors degree in manufacturing, systems, industrial or mechanical engineering Masters degree a plus

· 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience

· Computer skills including experience with Auto-CAD, MS Office products, basic ERP system understanding and working knowledge of various equipment and tools
