Salary: $24- $30 an hour

Recruiting Heroes is looking for hard-working and motivated individuals for the position of Mechanical Technician for a role in Ashburn, Virginia. This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced mechanical technician who is detail oriented. Responsibilities would include assembling mechanical parts, reading, interpreting, and following mechanical drawings, and keeping a clean, inventoried work station. Position will also include some field work performing preventative maintenance. Candidate also needs to be able to use basic power tools, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms, and assemble components and parts.

Duties:

Perform maintenance, repairs and upgrades on diesel fuel filtration equipment

Execute diesel fuel sampling

Assemble mechanical components and parts

Complete quality work checks for accuracy

Identify and document any component part defects

Maintain a well organized work station

Customer interface while performing preventive maintenance in the field including: checking components, performing maintenance on fuel systems and changing fuel filters

Execute diesel fuel sampling in above and underground tanks following safety requirements

Required Skills:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred

Able to regularly lift 30-50 pounds

Team focused and goal oriented

Well organized and able to handle simultaneous and multiple projects

Adept at repetitive tasks

Read, interpret, and follow engineering/mechanical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials

Operate power and hand tools

Assemble mechanical parts with quick dexterity

Test and calibrate assembled parts

Sand and paint parts where necessary

Clean and polish finished assemblies
