Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and deploy advanced detection logic to identify suspicious or risky activities.

  • Continuously refine detection logic to reduce false positives/negatives and improve accuracy

  • Collaborate with Threat Researchers to integrate new attack techniques and indicators of compromise (IOCs)

  • Work closely with Product Management to align detection capabilities with broader security goals and customer needs

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns of malicious behavior and account takeover attempts

  • Troubleshoot detection issues and enhance system reliability

  • Help shape the future of account takeover prevention by combining engineering, data analysis, and cybersecurity expertise.

What We’re Looking For

Must‑Have Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Python (including Pandas) for data analysis.

  • Strong skills in big data querying (AWS Athena preferred)

  • Proven ability to analyze and parse large datasets

  • Investigative skills to debug detection issues and improve accuracy

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (threat intelligence, product management, engineering)

  • Solid understanding of cloud applications and account security fundamentals

  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in a threat research or detection engineering role

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals such as behavioral analysis and threat detection

  • Experience with data science tools (Spark, PySpark, AWS Sagemaker Notebook, Jupyter Notebook)

  • Background in building supervised and unsupervised machine learning models for anomaly detection and data classification

  • Exposure to large-scale SaaS security environments

  • Contributions to open-source projects or security research communities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global team environment
