Position Title: Executive Chef

Company profile:

Our client is a holding company with several business divisions in Kuwait. They are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef for their food and beverage business in Kuwait.

The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing production within the plant, including menu re-engineering and the elevation of food concepts. He will also ensure the food quality is upscaled across the various branches in the kuwait market. The ideal candidate for this role should have extensive experience in mass production. Additionally, as an Executive Chef, your primary role will involve designing menus that center around salads, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches, requiring expertise in menu engineering and creative culinary concept development.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
  • Coordinating cooks' tasks.
  • Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
  • Designing new recipes, planning menus, and selecting plate presentations.
  • Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
  • Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff.
  • Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints.
  • keep up with cooking trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience from which at least 4 in managerial positions as Head Chef, or Executive Chef.
  • Experience in mass production is also highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
