Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified HR Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Abuja, Nigeria. The ideal candidate must be an Arabic speaker with prior work experience in Africa, specifically Nigeria, and will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the HR operations. The primary focus will be on building robust performance management systems, reviewing and adapting policies and procedures, ensuring their effective implementation, and fostering a culture of compliance. The role also involves oversight of recruitment, evaluation, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Single Point of Contact:

- Act as a central point of contact for employees and managers across the business in Nigeria.

- Proactively support the delivery of HR processes to enhance employee experience.

2. Project Management:

- Manage complex and challenging HR projects cross-functionally, collaborating with Corporate HR and Group HR Head.

- Build strong business relationships with various business units in Nigeria and other support functions.

3. Risk Identification and Management:

- Actively identify gaps in HR processes, propose changes, and implement measures to cover risks.

- Facilitate management teams to devise optimal solutions for employees.

4. Team Development:

- Develop HR team members, enabling them to evolve into effective HR Business Partners.

5. Leave Management and Payroll:

- Handle and manage the entire leave management process.

- Manage and control all payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy before and after processing.

6. HR Requests and Benefits Administration:

- Manage, lead, and control all HR-related requests.

- Administer benefits in accordance with policy and communicate releases to employees.

7. Communication and Issue Resolution:

- Constantly communicate with employees to explain and clarify HR policies and procedures.

- Resolve any issues related to employee concerns or complaints.

8. Process Design and Implementation:

- Set up and design a proper HR operation process to ensure smooth HR operations in the Nigerian business.

9. Pay Strategy:

- Formulate and secure the implementation of a proper pay strategy to ensure fair and equitable employee rewards.

Requirements:

- Bachelor Degree in HR, Business Management, Psychology, or any related field. Master's degree is highly recommended CIPD certification (or an HR certification) is a plus

- Arabic speaker with previous work experience in Africa (mandatory).

- Proven experience in HR operations management, with a focus on performance management and policy implementation.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt a coaching perspective.
