About the job Programme Manager

We're currently partnering with leading construction management firm based in Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in infrastructure development, engineering and construction services, as well as design and building.

They are currently looking for a Programme Manager. 

Job Objective:

To lead and coordinate all phases of construction operations on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects at the sites assigned ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management - engage with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment across all programme phases.
  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate the work of the project managers onsite ensuring they meet their set KPIs.
  • Ensure effective management of the project budgets, schedules, and resources, and provide regular updates to top management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to address project delays, safety concerns, or cost overruns.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained and maintained by the relevant departments.


Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 10 years proven and relevant work experience, including on-site leadership of complex infrastructure and commercial building projects. 
  • Strong and excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Ability to manage pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, and project controls.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant construction management software. 
  • High proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
    

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree or Masters in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. PMP, MSP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent) is preferred.
