Position: Assembly Manager
Location: North Bangalore, India (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time / Indefinite Contract
Remuneration: To be discussed based on current salary and expected compensation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of assembly operators, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to schedules, and optimal resource utilization for aerospace component assembly.
Oversee and optimize assembly processes, ensuring all operations strictly adhere to aerospace industry standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
Leverage in-depth understanding of 5-axis CNC and VMC machines to guide the team, troubleshoot complex assembly issues related to machining tolerances, and ensure seamless integration of parts.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the assembly line, conducting regular checks and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly department, identifying bottlenecks, enhancing productivity, and reducing waste.
Develop and mentor assembly personnel, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Ensure strict adherence to all company safety procedures and regulations, promoting a safe and organized work environment.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, production planning, and supply chain teams to resolve issues, optimize designs for manufacturability, and meet production targets.
Manage documentation of assembly processes, production reports, and quality metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in assembly operations within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
A total of 10-15 years of overall experience in aerospace assembly, including hands-on experience, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
Comprehensive familiarity and practical knowledge of 5-axis machining, CNC, and VMC technology, and their implications for precision assembly processes.
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex technical and operational challenges.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively with team members, cross-functional departments, and senior management.
Proven ability to read, interpret, and implement complex technical documentation and engineering specifications.
Strong commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated industry.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
