Position: Industrial/Commercial Gas Service Engineer with Electrical Controls Experience

Salary: Competitive £35-£45k+ (Dependant on relevant experience)

Potential for £50k+ plus based on overtime.

Location: Positions available Northern Ireland and ROI

With some travel across Ireland expected.

Boiler Services specialise in mechanical and industrial engineering which encompasses a vast range of services to the public and private sectors, especially within the Industrial boiler and burner sector.

Due to continued expansion have the following position available for an experienced Industrial/ Commercial Gas Service Engineer with Electrical Controls Experience.

This position involves the servicing, repair and commissioning of industrial steam and hot water boilers controls and associated equipment.

**Applications also welcome from current Gas engineers/ Marine Engineers, who do not fully meet the Person Specification. Training may be provided to allow individual to reach position of Industrial Burner/Boiler Service Engineer.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications Essential

Full driving licence

Gas qualifications; COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1 and CORT1

Qualifications- Desirable

Engineering degree or similar (HNC etc)

Gas qualifications; CDGA1, TPCP1 and TPCP1A

LPG Qualifications

Oil Qualification; OFTEC

18th Edition electrical

BOAS/ BG04

Health and Safety Qualification

Knowledge, Experience and Behaviours

A strong proven engineering background within the combustion industry and boiler house maintenance

Field-based service engineer experience.

Electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience working on PLC and control panels.

Familiarity/ Experience with a range of manufacturer products. Riello, Cochran, GP, Nu-way, Hamworthy, Saacke, Weishaupt and Dunphy industrial package burners.

Knowledge of steam, hot water and thermal oil boiler plant and digital combustion control.

Experience in a customer-facing role.

Computer literate.

Good level of communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work well under pressure.

Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.

Ability to work unsupervised and function as part of a team.

Previous experience working with health and safety requirements.

Willing and keen to undertake relevant training to develop skills in relation to the post.

Willing to travel and participate in overtime/weekend work including overnight stays

Willing to contribute to the companies On- Call System.

Willing to train and mentor junior engineers.
