The role

This is a broad, hands-on HR role with both strategic influence and day-to-day involvement.

You'll be the go-to person for all things people — bringing structure, clarity, and consistency as the business grows.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for employees across the business
  • Supporting and improving performance management, appraisals, and development frameworks
  • Reviewing and maintaining job descriptions, compensation, and benefits
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Implementing and managing policies across areas such as hybrid working, wellbeing, and absence
  • Supporting team leaders with people challenges, coaching, and guidance
  • Promoting company values and strengthening internal culture
  • Providing insight through HR data, metrics, and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice

What you'll need

  • Experience in an HR role, ideally within financial services or professional services
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confidence operating both strategically and hands-on
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, approachable, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build trust across all levels of a business
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable
