About the Role

Working in an open, cooperative, team-based environment with direct contact with the Chief Investment Officer, portfolio managers, financial advisors, clients and investment product providers, providing vital support such as preparing investment proposals, client investment planning, and tax reporting. There will be the opportunity to research products and different investment solutions, assist with producing investment research papers and have a tangible impact on how we manage money for our clients. Specific responsibilities are:

inputting and managing data in reporting and investment management software;

  • checking trades to identify potential errors;
  • regulatory reporting, e.g. transaction reporting to FCA (MiFIR), KID production;
  • researching UK and US investment products and monitoring model portfolios;
  • creating investment plans or rebalance reports for financial advisors to present to clients;
  • running and analysing periodic and ad-hoc investment performance reports for clients;
  • using internal software to analyse and restructure data in response to client/advisor requests.

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary: to £35,000, total package £40,000

Additional Information

Our role is intrinsically office-based because of the degree of training, colleague liaison, and client contact.

Essential Criteria

Experience in an investment management/wealth management environment.

Proficiency with Excel and handling data

Excellent written and spoken English

Unrestricted rights to work in the UK

Desirable Criteria

Degrees with exposure to the gathering, processing and reporting of data

Experience in working with investment products in financial services.

Level 4 professional investment qualification or commitment to professional exams

Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a confident, professional and natural manner

Attention to detail

Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

Comfortable working in a team

Time management and prioritisation

Solid IT skills, including Word & Excel

Confident learner of new software tools

Excellent telephone manner

Outstanding written and oral communication
