We're recruiting for the key role of Head of Operations at Emery Little. The successful individual will be responsible for driving operational efficiency across all aspects at our highly respected financial planning business leadership, operations, compliance, finance, projects, marketing, and IT. We're seeking a knowledgeable, people-oriented leader full of ideas and experienced in the development of processes and systems. We wish to ensure genuine support for our team and the delivery of a world class service to our clients.

The opportunity

The role

As a senior leader in our business, you are responsible for ensuring our processes and systems support the entire team enabling everyone to do their very best work. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up our team for success in delivering a world class service and experience for our clients.
  • Working closely with our Financial Planning, Paraplanning and Administration teams.
  • Ensuring that our processes are robust, efficient, and reliable across the key business risk areas of compliance and finance.
  • Delivering key projects.
  • Establish and manage a risk and controls process.
  • Driving operational efficiency across all aspects of our business.
  • Championing your own development.

Essential skills and experience

  • We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable, people-oriented leader.
  • Experience gained from any industry or sector.
  • Experience across the key aspects of our business - operations, finance, projects and IT.
  • A background in the development of processes and systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide our clients with a world class service.
  • A natural leader and experienced in supporting a team and enable them to grow.
  • Be able to deliver projects.
  • Detail oriented and at the same time be able to see the bigger picture.
  • Used to providing simple solutions that make everyones job easier.
  • Be a strong communicator and thrive working in a close-knit, collaborative team environment.
  • The ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Good IT skills and constantly seeking to use technology to improve the client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Be full of ideas and innovation and be able to get others excited about new ways of working.

Additional information

Free parking. We are moving office next year however it will likely be in the same area. Ad hoc travel to London for team events and meetings.
