About the Job:

We are looking for a SecOps Engineer Manager to join our client's Cybersecurity team and lead security operations initiatives that protect critical systems, applications, and data. In this role, you will oversee cybersecurity operations, incident response activities, and threat mitigation efforts while managing teams responsible for monitoring, investigating, and resolving security events. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to strengthen security controls, improve operational resilience, and drive continuous improvement across security operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cybersecurity operations and incident management activities to identify, investigate, and respond to security threats.
  • Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring, alert triage, escalation, and incident response.
  • Manage security operations across technologies such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, Vulnerability Management, firewalls, email security, and cloud security platforms.
  • Coordinate major security incidents, ensuring timely response, effective communication, and resolution.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, operational procedures, and threat mitigation initiatives.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities, oversee remediation efforts, and support vulnerability management programs.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to assess risks, improve security posture, and address cybersecurity challenges.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to security analysts and engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards, governance frameworks, and incident response processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of leading cybersecurity practices and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of solid experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or related security functions.
  • 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, ITSM, IAM, and Vulnerability Management tools.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, threat detection, security monitoring, access governance, and vulnerability lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing Security Operations Center (SOC) functions and security incident management processes.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics, network forensics, and cyber threat intelligence practices.
  • Experience with cloud security, firewall management, email security solutions, and enterprise security operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as GIAC (GCFA, GCIA, GCIH), CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications are highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience mentoring and managing security analysts and engineers in a fast-paced environment.
