About the Job:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Editor to join our client's team and ensure the highest level of clinical accuracy and narrative quality in medical reports. In this role, you will review and edit medical documentation, verify clinical information, and ensure that all reports meet professional standards for grammar, style, and formatting. You will also provide guidance to Historians, manage workflows, and support the production of accurate and timely medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and edit medical reports for accuracy, grammar, style, and consistency, ensuring compliance with AAMT standards.
- Verify clinical information by cross-referencing interviews, patient charts, and source documents.
- Restructure paragraphs and condense materials to clearly present patient information for clinical, insurance, or legal purposes.
- Monitor Historian progress and schedules, performing final proofreading before report transmittal.
- Maintain productivity logs and workflow sheets to provide summaries for production reporting.
- Prepare and transmit final reports while coordinating specific instructions with internal teams.
- Provide coaching and feedback to Historians based on quality evaluations and identified error patterns.
- Research and use technical source materials to ensure correct medical, surgical, and legal terminology.
- Update and maintain templates, guidelines, and standards for primary accounts.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a medical allied course (e.g., Nursing, Physical Therapy, Biology, etc.).
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Editor or in a similar clinical documentation role.
- Knowledgeable in basic computer systems, internet applications, and word processing programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Willing to work on-site in McKinley West, Taguig.
- Willing to start immediately, if possible.
