About the Job:
We are looking for an experienced AR Collections Team Lead to join our client's team and oversee the day-to-day activities of cash posting staff, both on-site and remote. In this role, you will manage, mentor, and motivate your team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and efficient accounts receivable management. You will work closely with operations leadership to strategize, analyze A/R trends, and implement process improvements. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster a high-performing, engaged team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead cash posting staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Work closely with Operations Manager to monitor daily tasks, reporting, and strategize A/R volume and inventory management.
- Train and mentor Level 3a and 3b staff to ensure team productivity and quality standards are met.
- Manage aging accounts receivable by trending, analyzing, and communicating with payors to ensure timely payment resolution.
- Identify operational issues, facilitate solutions, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicare, HIPAA, and other healthcare programs.
- Maintain desk assignments and workflow to optimize collection efforts across client facilities.
- Address employee complaints, determine rewards and disciplinary actions, and foster a positive, engaged work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Experienced supervisor with proven expertise in US healthcare accounts receivable management.
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare A/R and patient financial services operations, including inpatient/outpatient managed care and commercial payors.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, coach, and develop staff.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and precision.
- Willing to start immediately, if possible.
