À propos du poste QA GDP Consultant – Pharmaceutical
Basel Area · Switzerland · Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote) · Contract / Interim · ~6 months (extension possible) · Senior level (3–5 years) · English required
Assignment via a specialist pharma/biotech consulting firm. Full administrative support and mission follow-up included.
Context
A pharmaceutical company in the Basel Area is looking to reinforce its QA team with an experienced GDP Consultant, available as soon as possible.
The role covers hands-on quality operations across warehouse and distribution activities — with a cross-border dimension linking Switzerland to a European distribution hub. You will work at the heart of a regulated supply chain, driving GDP compliance with both rigour and pragmatism.
This is not a desk-based role. You will be embedded in an operational team, working closely with supply chain, affiliates, and external partners to move files forward and elevate quality standards across distribution processes.
If you are the kind of QA professional who thrives in a lean, agile environment, can handle complexity without losing sight of the detail, and enjoys bringing structure to fast-moving operations — this mission is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, manage and follow up on customer complaints in the quality management system (Veeva)
- Coordinate investigations with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Handle product returns from pharmacies, including full documentation and quality assessment
- Conduct root cause analyses using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Collaborate with European affiliates to ensure alignment with GDP requirements
- Support end-to-end deviation management processes
- Send, collect and consolidate questionnaires to affiliates on distribution compliance
- Contribute to quality oversight across regulated distribution channels
- Provide guidance and targeted training to supply chain teams on quality and GDP matters
Your Profile
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in QA / GDP within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Solid, applied knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
- Hands-on experience in deviation management and structured investigations
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a lean, results-driven environment
- Strong coordination and communication skills — cross-functional and cross-border
Strong assets:
- Familiarity with Veeva and/or SAP S/4HANA
- Background in pharma (small molecules preferred), biotech, or biochemistry
- Prior experience coordinating with affiliates in a multi-country distribution context
