Recrutis is supporting a leading pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing site in Valais, Switzerland, in the search for a Technical Project Manager, based on site in the Upper Valais region.

Key information
- Location: Valais, Switzerland — on-site presence at the manufacturing site.
- Contract: consulting assignment (mission).
- Duration: start as soon as possible, assignment running until the end of July 2027.
- Seniority: 3 to 10 years of project engineering experience in a GMP environment.
- Languages: German and English, both at advanced professional level (written and spoken). German is a knockout criterion.
Scope
- Technical project management of small and mid-sized investment projects (CHF 10K–200K) with direct impact on current production and business results.
- Development of technical concepts and advisory support to internal customers for decision-making.
- Detail engineering, funding applications and management of works execution — with accountability for deadlines, costs and functionality.
- Process engineering calculations and plant optimisation.
- Feasibility studies for new plants and rebuilds of existing plants, including cost estimation, scheduling and functionality assessment.
- Planning, realisation and support of production adjustments and product launches.
- Elaboration of alternative technical solutions with structured evaluation of advantages and disadvantages.
- Procurement and organisation of the internal and external resources required for timely project execution; coordination of supporting engineering resources on medium-sized projects.
Profile — Required criteria (knockout)
- German at advanced professional level, written and spoken — knockout criterion.
- English at advanced professional level, written and spoken.
- 3 to 10 years of project engineering experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Degree from a technical college or university, preferably in mechanical engineering, process technology, bio- or chemical engineering.
- Demonstrated ownership of investment projects in the CHF 10K–200K range, with accountability for deadline, cost and functionality.
- Availability to work on site in Valais until the end of July 2027.
Strong assets — Differentiators
- Experience in a biotech or chemical manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience in a matrix organisation, coordinating internal and external engineering resources.
- Understanding of business and financial processes, including cost estimation and funding requests.
- Track record in feasibility studies for new plants or rebuilds of existing facilities.
- Highly independent, structured and flexible working style, with strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
