Purchasing & Sourcing Manager

Our client, a leading European festive decoration company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing and Sourcing Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of lighting products for prestigious shopping malls, hotels, and public areas worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in lighting products and extensive experience in end-to-end sourcing, buying, and shipping processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for lighting products to meet the company's needs and objectives
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and manage supplier relationships
• Monitor market trends and prices to ensure competitive pricing and quality of products
• Manage the entire purchasing process, including sourcing, ordering, and shipping
• Work closely with the design team to understand product specifications and requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products
• Conduct regular supplier visits and audits to ensure quality standards are met
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and technologies to enhance the company's product offerings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing, preferably in the lighting industry
• Technical background in lighting products is highly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end sourcing, buying, and shipping processes
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Willing to travel to Mainland China every month to visit suppliers
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and achieving cost savings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required
