Project Director - Government Projects

An ICT company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join them in overseeing and managing large-scale government projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage the execution of government projects from start to finish
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the project team
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project milestones and timelines
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery
• Manage project resources, including budget, staff, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
• Liaise with government officials and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed
• Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the project team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Possess PMP, ITIL, or Prince 2 certification is highly desirable
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the ICT industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale government projects
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel for project-related meetings and activities
• Strong communication in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
