Organizational Overview
Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources (OKARR) is the state affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) and a statewide leader in advancing recovery housing certification, workforce development, and community capacity building. OKARR provides training, technical assistance, and system coordination to strengthen Oklahomas recovery ecosystem.
Position Summary
The AmeriCorps Member serving as the Front Desk Capacity Building Assistant will help OKARR strengthen its administrative systems, intake processes, and community engagement functions. The Member will build sustainable infrastructure that enhances efficiency, data tracking, and access to recovery-related resources and training opportunities. This is a capacity-building position, not a direct service role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized intake and referral tracking systems for individuals and organizations contacting OKARR.
- Organize and maintain a centralized digital and physical resource library of recovery housing, peer support, and workforce resources.
- Assist in improving internal communication and scheduling systems, including calendar coordination and information flow among staff and partners.
- Support the Recovery Friendly Workplace and Recovery Skills Hub initiatives by preparing outreach materials, sign-in sheets, and data entry for training events.
- Assist with partner and volunteer coordination, including maintaining contact lists, tracking engagement, and updating outreach databases.
- Contribute to process documentation (manuals, checklists, and procedures) that enhance sustainability and efficiency of front desk operations.
- Help ensure a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors, partners, and participants seeking information or referrals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
- Interest in recovery, behavioral health, or community development fields.
- Professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet AmeriCorps eligibility requirements.

- Orientation and ongoing supervision from OKARR staff.
- Training on OKARR programs, NARR standards, and recovery support systems.
