AmeriCorps Position: Program & Operations Capacity-Building Member

Service Site: Oklahoma Performing Arts (OPA)
Reports to: Trained OPA Site Supervisors
Service Focus: Strengthening OPAs internal systems, volunteer infrastructure, and digital organization to expand program capacity.

Position Purpose

The Member will expand OPAs organizational capacity by improving program documentation systems, organizing digital tools, strengthening volunteer coordination structures, and supporting the operational efficiency needed for OPAs growth. This work directly enhances OPAs ability to serve more youth and families sustainably.

Allowed Capacity-Building Activities

• Improve and maintain Google for Nonprofits Education structures for program data, volunteer records, and workflow documents.
• Develop and update tracking templates, checklists, manuals, and procedural guides.
• Create volunteer recruitment materials, training tools, and organizational charts (not supervision).
• Assist in organizing storage, supplies, and equipment to create long-term operational efficiency
• Support resource development efforts by mapping donation pipelines and identifying community partners.
• Develop internal communication tools, calendars, and system maps that enhance staff/ volunteer coordination.
• Track capacity-building metrics and prepare summaries for leadership and grants.

• No substituting for staff responsibilities
• No fundraising appeals
• No supervision of employees
• No political or religious activity
• No direct service to youth
